Flamenco Handcrafted Guitars

My flamenco handcrafted guitars

Miguel Franco: Luthier

I am Miguel Franco Hernández, I was born in 1980 in Punta Umbría. For as long as I can remember, I have felt a deep fascination with flamenco, especially with the art of guitar making. Since I was a child, I dreamed of being a luthier, captivated by the unique sound of this instrument and the power of a tradition that is part of our roots.

Today, that dream is my reality. In my workshop, I combine inherited artisanal techniques with a deep love for what I do. Each guitar I build tries to offer exceptional sound quality, comfort for both the right and left hands, and an aesthetic that reflects the beauty of flamenco.

My work is not just a craft, it is a way of paying homage to my land, to its culture. Every instrument that leaves my hands carries with it a piece of Andalusia, Punta Umbría, and the soul of flamenco.

Trade, patience and passion in every detail

Each guitar I build is unique, made with calm, dedication and respect for tradition. It’s not just wood and strings: it’s soul, history, sound… My work is born from a love for this instrument, for its shape, its feel, its voice. From the selection of the woods to the final polish, I put into every detail the passion of someone who understands that a guitar isn’t just made… it’s created. There’s no mass production here, there’s handmade art, for musicians looking for something else: a guitar with a life of its own.

The art of building handcrafted flamenco guitars, from the heart

From a very young age, I discovered that my vocation was linked to wood, the smell of cypress, the pulse of the tools and, above all, the soul of flamenco. Today, in my workshop, I build handcrafted flamenco guitars with the same dedication and respect with which they were made in the past: by hand, with patience, caring for every detail as if it were unique.

I personally select each piece of wood, seeking not only beauty, but also character, resonance, and life. The process is slow, completely artisanal: there is no rush, nor machines that replace the ear or the hands. Every guitar I build is designed to move, to vibrate with the guitarist’s touch and become a natural extension of their expression.

In every rosette, in every neck, in every varnish applied by hand, I put my experience and my passion. Because for me, a flamenco guitar isn’t just an instrument, it’s a living work of art that must breathe, feel…

I invite you to discover my work, to discover how these handcrafted flamenco guitars are created, and to feel, like I do, that flamenco begins long before the first note is played.
